I just finished Snow Falling on Cedars. I don't know why I waited so long to read this book. The writing is beautiful. The story is thought inducing. I love how the snowstorm becomes a character, as well developed as all the others. It is so good.

I sewed a binding onto a quilt this morning, ready for hand stitching to the front. Summer's over, time to get back to work! Shadow is very happy with the idea.

I had a home based business through Etsy and more than half of my business was with US customers. I am happy I closed my shop before this idiotic trade war started. Costs were already high. Go Canada, I'm behind you no matter what it takes.

Finished 'The Poppy War'. Very good book although I am not into fantasy. The beginning was better than the ending. I'm reading the second in the series now and 20% in it is still very dark and kinda hopeless. Hoping it gets better as it is not comfortable nighttime reading. 😲😶

1/3 This is going to be a long story... Several years ago I bought some seeds, Tickled Pink, touted to be a climbing petunia. And climb they did! While magenta is not my fave flower colour, these plants made a stunning display in the garden and in pots. I rationed the seeds over several years.
