The Colorado Rockies were 45-67 on August 3.

On pace to avoid 100 losses for the fourth-straight season entering the final day of the trade deadline, they have since cratered.

Colorado is 10-24 since then and will now need to play .500 ball (8-8) in order to avoid more dubious history.

#Rockies lose 6-1 to the Yankees. drop to 55-90.

Fifth-consecutive season losing 90+. Before this stretch began in 2022, Colorado had never lost 90+ more than two years in a row.

Rox need 8 wins over final 17 games to avoid 100 losses. They’ve done that 22% of the time in 2026.
September 10, 2026 at 1:56 AM
#Rockies Hunter Goodman has an opposite field home run in his first game at Yankee Stadium. In the 9th inning, no less.

Goodman’s 37th homer extends his MLB lead for most on the road (22) this season.
September 9, 2026 at 1:55 AM
Adael Amador has himself a 385 ft foot home run against AL Cy Young contender Cam Schlittler.

Amador’s first homer at Yankee Stadium is more than #Rockies greats Trevor Story and Carlos González hit in the Bronx combined.

#Rockies activate 3B Kyle Karros from the concussion IL ahead of a three-game set in the Bronx.

IF/OF Ryan Ritter is optioned back to Triple-A Albuquerque.

*Oh yeah, Yankees activate Aaron Judge from the 60-day IL. That might be important in this series.

With a 10-8 loss on Sunday, the Colorado Rockies drop to 55-88 and become the first team eliminated from MLB Postseason contention.

“Usually I don’t make the second left turn.”

#Rockies  TJ Rumfield, whose sprint speed is in the 5th percentile, on his third triple of the season Friday night.
September 5, 2026 at 4:23 AM
Cole Carrigg and TJ Rumfield became the first pair of #Rockies rookies to each hit a triple and a home run in the same game.
September 5, 2026 at 4:22 AM
Wild bottom of the sixth inning. #Rockies score five runs and take a 6-5 lead over the Cardinals.

Go-ahead run comes on a sac bunt from Zac Veen that scores Troy Johnston on a play at the plate.

"I'm out," Johnston said. St. Louis has no challenges, so Colorado gets a gift.
September 5, 2026 at 2:40 AM
Brett Sullivan with the walk-off win for the #Rockies, the first of his career. Good for him.

Need evidence of his leadership for Colorado:

The first five to greet Sullivan are all rookies: Veen, Carrigg, Frasso, Hughes and Castaño.

After ending August with a 2-12 record, the Colorado Rockies are undefeated (2-0) in September.

“The greatest home run robbery, game-ending catch you'll see in your life.”

In case you turned in early because of the nearly 2-hour rain delay, #Rockies Jake McCarthy’s would-be walk-off was erased by the Orioles’ Colton Cowser.

“Like a dang knife to the heart,” Warren Schaeffer said post-game.
September 1, 2026 at 1:29 PM
Since July 10, #Rockies Tanner Gordon has made nine appearances, the last three of which have been starts.

Todd Helton finished 2nd in NL Rookie of the Year Award voting in 1998 at age 24.

August 29, 2026 at 6:56 PM
TJ Rumfield recorded 4 walks on Thursday, plus a base hit in his only at-bat.

Rumfield is just the 14th player in #Rockies history to draw at least four base on balls. First since 2020 and first on the road since Todd Helton in 2009 (also at Washington).

It’s 17 consecutive games allowing a home run, a #Rockies record.

The eight-game losing streak at home is tied for second-longest in team history.

Colorado (50-79, .388) is still on pace to avoid 100 losses, but barely (63-99). Eighth-hardest strength of schedule remaining.
August 23, 2026 at 2:51 AM
#Rockies drop another one at Coors Field.

Colorado has lost 7 in a row at home. It’s the fourth time in the past five seasons losing at least that many in a row in Denver.

Before 2022, the club suffered seven or more losses at home five times in their first 29 seasons.
August 22, 2026 at 3:50 AM
My Dad: “Can you research if the #Rockies have had more taco’s this year? It sure feels like it.”

Colorado scored seven or more runs 27 times in 2025, fewest in a full-season since 1993.

This year: 34 times this season, tied for fifth-most in MLB.

“Good call, Dad.”
