Andy Kim has the right idea: MEDIKIDS.

When the health of kids is encouraged, they grow into healthier adults. By the age of 26 they will want to see their benefits extended. Besides being good for kids, Medikids is a good strategy for reaching medicare for all.

The war in Iran began with a dream of violence. The question now is whether that tyrannical emotional state, the utopia of violence, that brought us the war will be applied inside the United States.

All of this Nobel funny biz deserves the 25th amendment!
“No cavalry expected”: that is correct. Gandalf will NOT be arriving over the hill with a million horses at Helm’s deep. Han Solo will NOT be swooping down with the millennium falcon to shoot Darth Vader out of Luke’s way. Wentworth is NOT writing a love letter at the desk!!! Etc etc.
There are people who could stop this if they wanted to stop this craziness. There are constitutional ways to address a president who is running amuck. Those who could get him out of office don't seem to choose that. This is what keeps me awake nights.
There is no calvary expected.

Remembering today that having your heart broken is a necessary step on the path to becoming fully human. Whichever heartbreak is your first, it’s probably critical that a state break your heart so that you can develop a political imagination. If this is your first, I’m sorry and also welcome.

This is dangerous & unacceptable.

Outreach? This euphemism has grown new teeth! #censorship As far as I know speaking truth to government power is what the 1st amendment protects.
I seem to recall that it was the biggest 1st Amendment attack in American history when the Biden admin alerted social media companies to some content and said "hey does this violate your policies?" Will Matt Taibbi, Michael Shellenberger and (lol) CBS News Editor in Chief Bari Weiss call this out?

Donald Trump's militarization of our city streets isn't about fighting crime or public safety — it's about consolidating power in his hands.

What he plans to do with that, now or during the 2026 elections, should worry all of us.
