Trump is already planning for the 20*30* Census. This time, not only does he want to stop counting noncitizens, he wants to stop counting race and ethnicity. Can't have an unconstituional racial gerrymander if you pretend not to know where Black people live.

100% correct. And, every time somebody says they want to see Citizens United overturned, I think it would be helpful if they talked through the path they see us taking to get there. What are you going to do about the Supreme Court to make meaningful campaign finance reform possible?
As someone currently running for office, we need publicly financed elections and the complete overturn of Citizens United. Our political process should not be indistinguishable from a scam operation.

While Americans are understandably frustrated that the FDA has been unable to pinpoint the cause of the cyclosporiasis outbreak, everyone needs to know that Trump fired 9 of the 11 FDA staff who had been tracking diseases for decades. The leader then resigned in disgust, leaving one person.

I just listened to a panel with David French and someone from the Brennan Center vociferously argue against expanding the Court. French said it would lead to “the dissolution of the republic.” About a third of the audience applauded. We need to get a policy culture that’s willing to do what it takes
