Possible bunker fuel leak visible on SAR imagery in the Strait of Hormuz on Sept. 22, potentially from a tanker that had been struck. A long, narrow dark sheen appears, consistent with a possible oil/fuel slick.

On September 18th Two New Zealand naval ships passed through the Taiwan Strait. They were heading to a joint excecise with the Philippines.

Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz remains far below recent levels.

On Thursday, only 4 commodity vessels transited, versus a 10-day average of 16.

Three LNG carriers also reappeared outside the strait after several days.

A lot of “dark” ships are showing up in the Persian Gulf. Blue rings and yellow dots show the corrected and reported AIS positions at the time of acquisition. Any vessel (bright spot) visible without a marker was dark during that time. And this is just a small part of the area.
