This is the People’s CDC Weather Report for the week of September 7, 2026! This Weather Report from the People’s CDC sheds light on the ongoing COVID pandemic and other public health crises.

All of the states that touch the Southern border of the country are experiencing “moderate,” “high,” or “very high” levels except for New Mexico which is “low.” Seven states that touch the northern border of these elevated states such as Arkansas, Tennessee, Oregon and North Carolina are also experiencing “low” levels. Montana and Washington are northernmost states that are experiencing elevated levels, reading at “high” and “moderate” respectively. Alaska, the US Virgin Islands and Guam are experiencing “moderate” levels. The COVID pandemic has and will continue to shape all of our lives in many ways. What will our world look like when KN95 and N95 masks have been around for 30 years?
