Oh hey, I almost missed this, but the 14th anniversary of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) was this week. I also realized I blew past another anniversary, 10 years since my last day on the show. I miss that show and the Nick Animation Studio.

I used to like taking my dog for a walk after dinner, enjoying that cool, refreshing evening breeze. Lately, by the time we go around the block, I’m drenched with sweat because SoCal is as humid as Florida now, apparently.

1) The reason George Lucas wanted to build this museum is to properly honor illustration as art when it has been so long derided.
2) There is a MAJOR exhibit on the first floor that covers everything from cave paintings to the Sistine Chapel, so where’s the confusion?

Pull up a chair: we're going to talk about writing teams. 🧵
We’re giving Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny a second look, and honestly, this movie is a lot better than a lot of the hate suggests. It’s a little too long, but it’s surprisingly personal and introspective, and it’s a fitting conclusion for Harrison Ford’s adventures as Indy.

Now that my son is into The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, I can confirm that the Rankin & Bass cartoon version of Gollum is just as nightmare inducing for kids now as it was in the 70’s and 80’s.
