It’s Mother’s Day in the Netherlands and today I feel the loss of my mom and not having kids of my own more intensely. Yesterday I bought myself a good perfume, knowing my mom always wanted the best for me. Telling me I should celebrate myself more. I never knew why, I still don’t, but I try. 🌹

With the Leya story on Substack I go back to the year 2000 when the Netherlands got to know our future queen. Now I’m wondering if instead of looking at the fairytale, I should’ve looked to the strategy to decide about my choices and my future.
