This is pretty remarkable honestly because it wasn't possible for the Yankees and Red Sox to meet in the postseason between 1903-1994, and rules prevented them from meeting before the ALCS from 1995-2011.

IF Judge is only a pinch-hit threat and IF actual doctors say batting and jogging isn’t an enormous risk, then… fine, I think.
The best-of-3 Wild Card roster in particular at least offers that kind of flexibility since you sometimes see third catchers and designated pinch-runners there anyway.
