After two months, I'm very happy and proud to finally show off my Lego Pirates Forbidden Island redesign! This was honestly such a joy to build! 🏴‍☠️

Deep dive will follow!

A photo of a finished custom Lego build: a redesigned version of the iconic 90's Lego Pirates set Forbidden Island. The set depicts a pirate base on a tropical island and features sandy beaches, a dock, a dungeon (opens up!), captain's cabin with trap door, armory, a row boat, gun emplacement, gibbet cage, rope bridge, a well, a chicken coup, a small tavern, a mast with crow's nest and a big shark!

The casino for my Coruscant Undercity Lego moc is slowly coming together! There's Hutt Roulette, a few sabacc tables and even dejarik holo chess! 🎲

Made some quick and easy arcade machines for the casino in my Coruscant Undercity Lego moc, largely based on the machines in Star Wars: Outlaws 🕹️

Designed this fancy-ass bar for the casino in Coruscant Undercity moc and boy, the curved shapes nearly broke my sanity. Even has some "illegal" connections 😅

Cute little set with some useful parts, but nothing too special. Glad I got it on sale. Smart Brick isn't included so no idea how that works, and Luke's body can't be separated 🫠

Thanks! The rug was a fun detail to add 😅

Here's a test build (pay no attention to missing parts and weird colors) with the mechanism in action. The movement is minimal, but enough to convey a fanning motion 😀

Made this Lego Hutt lounge for the casino level of my Coruscant Undercity moc. More complex than it looks - it even has a mechanism to make the Jawa look like he's fanning 🥵

There's nothing quite like finding your people—and your place in the world.

In @Leeminarium.bsky.social's comic, Osric finally finds Sir Doran: a knight worth squiring for. With it comes a family, too!
Dark blue graphic with blue, purple, and teal medieval embellishments as a boarder. Text is pale blue and yellow, in Cambridge font. Meet the Characters: Osric the squire, and Doran the Knight Created by Leeminarium Osric wants to squire for a knight with all his heart, but runs into trouble more than once while trying to achieve his dreams. He's impulsive but hard-working, looking for his place in the world. Doran is a well-established knight, who built up his career from the ground up after being forced to leave his ancestral home. Having lived through enough hardship coming into his own, he decides to be the person he needed when he was growing up. They find family and support in each other, recognizing they are the same; trans men looking to belong Two window shapes reveal the characters. Osric has pale, bowl cut hair. Doran is confident, well built, with long brown hair and a beard. Sword Cross'd: The Life and Love of Knights swordcrossdzine on all socials"

Name a character who deserved better.

I love Cyberpunk 2077, but man, Evelyn's arc really is some of the bleakest, cruelest, most misogynistic shit I've ever seen.

Choose your words carefully. Is this the best word for the feeling you wish to convey? Then examine your clauses and how they relate to each other. Paragraphs are sentences in conversation. Keep the reader hooked with them.

Work out the logistics of your setting. Even if it's barely touched upon in your actual writing, understanding the dynamics of how a neighborhood/city/country works and operates can help your world feel infinitely more grounded and realistic.
