Second year in a row, conversation around shared micromobility in the UK was one of the highlights of MME

We still have more work to do - the current mess with e-scooter regulations should be solved, contracts should move from borough level to City level.
The UK doesn’t have a demand problem when it comes to shared micromobility. It has a regulation problem.

KKR and Teslin Alpine acquired Accell for ~$1.2B in 2022.

Later, lenders took control.

A singapore based company wanted to acquire and it was cleared by Poland's competition authority on 24th July, but it looks like that did not materialize either.
Accell Group, owner of Raleigh and other bike brands, has been declared bankrupt after a rescue deal failed.

The collapse puts thousands of jobs at risk and leaves brands including Raleigh, Haibike, Batavus, Babboe and Sparta facing an uncertain future.
