"Sometimes you have to choose the lesser of two evils," they say.

Ah, and why does one sometimes *have* to do that? Because someone else, who could have chosen opposition to evil, instead opts to become a lesser evil for their own perceived advantage—leaving others to bear the burden of that choice
You do not need to explain, to Queer or Black or Disabled people in America, that you can't always have a perfect thing. That is not news to us. You are not providing new information.

It is the height of arrogance to assume that's not already part of our understanding of the world.

Again, there is clear evidence a data center moratorium would peel far more votes away from the GOP than the 10-15 (not thousand, literally 10-15 total) who might switch over this same crowd’s demand to betray queer people. It’s malpractice that the party won’t ditch these professional losers.

If you run to the right, you don't add voters. You lose them because your voters (RIGHTLY) think you've abandoned them won't vote for you. And the voters to the right you're trying to court - guess what you still aren't right enough for them. And the undecideds see a coward & won't vote for one.

Finally read this through and jokes aside the stats are much worse than the headline makes them sound. They’re not talking about the existential fatigue most of us feel. They mean the debilitating, life-ruining condition that accompanies ME, flu and oh yeah, Long Covid which they do not mention.

This is oligarchy. "Don't criticize the oligarchs or they will destroy you" is a story about rising dictatorship, but framed as political consultant strategizing.

Dems should be riding anti-AI anger to massive gains, but consultant class will help throw that away.

New — I wrote about this weird thing where people within the Republican party keep being exposed as Nazis and the party then tries to claim each one is an aberration. The facts, as I lay out here, indicate otherwise:
Republicans don’t have a Nazi problem—they are the Nazi problem
A spate of recent revelations have shown the ideologies and their adherents are one and the same.
