In our latest study, we found that patients with both giant cell arteritis and diabetes had significantly higher mortality than those with either condition alone. Our findings suggest that comorbidities may provide important prognostic information beyond the inflammatory disease alone.

Digital, patient-initiated follow-up can reduce unnecessary outpatient visits without compromising quality of care. That is one of the key findings from our latest study, recently published in the International Journal of Medical Informatics.

In our paper for the leading machine learning conference ICLR 2026, we introduce SuperMAN – an interpretable AI model that learns from real-world clinical measurement data, including blood tests, to predict outcomes such as CD onset with state-of-the-art accuracy.
