At its very core, to get a shot is to be willingly stabbed. I don't fault anyone for being apprehensive, if not down right fearful of needles or shots. You're trusting a stranger with your health and life. Normalize going with your adult friends to medical care. We all need support.
"I'm supposed to be tough. What happens if I faint?"- here's fun footage of Curtis Sliwa & Mayor Mamdani getting their flu shots together, including Mamdani offering to hold Sliwa's hand 😆 (Sliwa takes him up on it!)

Did a tour of a high school this morning and I cannot stress enough how fucking gross it is to see a JROTC & Rifle Range in a high school. Gotta set that appetite for the military industrial complex early on, I see. Get them friendly with pulling that trigger from a young age.

Saw FORGOTTEN ISLAND last night. It was quite good and we highly recommend it. Could watch a whole movie of Lola at war with her neighbor. Also, we saw Rhett & Link on the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines! #GMM #LetsTalkAboutThat

I would like to nominate "Something Wicked This Way Comes" (1993) to have its original camera negatives scanned, cleaned up, and released on 4K Ultra HD Bl-ray!

Last January I posted about my grandmother Patricia. She held on for 21 months after this, defying doctors, odds and God.
Last night she passed peacefully in her sleep.
Rest in peace, Granny Pat.

This is my granny Pat. She's a sweetheart and doesn't have too long left with us. I watched her redo her own gravel driveway in a skidsteer in her 80's because she's tough as nails and wouldn't let anyone else do it. She's had a great run and I'm grateful for my time with her.

sometimes you want a horror movie to be serious and disturbing, and sometimes you want it to be a big, gory funhouse. that's what the new Resident Evil is: an insane, intense, funhouse that never slows down. one of the year's best horror movies, and it's been a great year for those.

Respectfully, Aaron, I would have fist fight most folks for a Kwik Trip chicken sammy at bar close most nights in college, so I get it.
deeply bizarre to see the entire homepage of the Minnesota Star Tribune turned into a multi-pronged commercial for Kwik Trip, a gas station with gas station-quality food
