I mean yeah, a decade of no one holding Trump accountable for his much more obvious crimes, combined with both Nazi and Confederate rehabilitation projects on the right, was always going to lead to “actually we’ve never done ANYTHING wrong and you guys owe us apologies for every check on our power”
The DOJ is reviewing "whether the special prosecutor’s office that investigated the famed Watergate break-in committed misconduct, according to people familiar with the matter, more than half a century after that scandal led to Nixon’s resignation."
Exclusive | Decades After Watergate, Justice Department Reviews Whether Nixon Got a Raw Deal
A revisionist historian went to the DOJ headquarters to present his case that the former president and his associates weren’t treated fairly.

Put another way, Ford wants to spend more on removing bike lanes in Toronto ($48M) than he's spent protecting all of Ontario's businesses from an international trade war.

Ontario deserves serious leadership, that follows through on promises, and actually puts people before profits.

Canada's decision to pre-approve the "Pacific Link" pipeline & tankers project is reckless, short-sighted & could lead to legal challenges. We're calling on the government to de-list the pipeline so proper assessment & meaningful consultation can take place. ⬇️

1/ So it’s official. Faced with a choice between whales and oil, our Prime Minister chose oil. Faced with a choice between a safe climate and more fossil fuel expansion, he chose oil again.

Today, Mark Carney announced yet another mammoth oilsands pipeline. #cdnpoli #bcpoli 🧵

These were the chuckleheads in Kamloops, and twitter conservatives tried to pretend they were a psy-op, government plants, all that. They are as odious as they seem.

Starting tomorrow, plugin solar now affordable in Conneticut.
Ninth US state to do so.

Canada's at zero provinces.
We need new legislative policies here, now.
Connecticut will allow no-permit plug-in solar, but the 1,200-watt kits may not exist yet
A new kind of low-hassle solar panels are coming to Connecticut as the state legalizes balcony solar.

The heat dome in 2021 killed over 600 BCers.

There were over 38,000 fatalities during the heat waves in Europe this summer.

Selling BCers organs would also provide billions in economic benefits, but for some reason that's unthinkable, while selling out humanity's future is worthy of celebration.

Climate change is as straightforward as it gets: Democrats vote to address it and Republicans vote not to.

There's a weird tic among the pundit class where they think saying "it's more complicated than that" is the intelligent stance on everything but sometimes it's not complicated!

Ask the UK how this worked out for them. They pay more for water, and now after the private companies have siphoned off all the profit, they get to pay billions for deferred maintenance.

$58 billion of tax dollars to remove #bike lanes that won't reduce gridlock. It will just injure and kill people. A joke to the premier, apparently. #OnPoli

No one is expecting the premier to mash out the Bixby letter on his iPhone. Yet we might expect more than this.

I just read a third or possibly fourth news article where the reality of an 'AI has discovered something marvellous!' story turns out to be GenAI somehow accessed material it had no permissions for, which was the outcome of an expert's years of work, and presented it without attribution. GenAI lies.

It's not. Fucking keep going.
We now have rigorous pooled data showing that even without active restoration efforts, cleared rainforest can rebound to 75% of their former species composition and 90% of species diversity within just thirty years. #goodnews
