I watched All About Steve and there isn't a more autistic coded woman on screen. The main reason it got poor ratings is because it was advertised as a rom com, which it most definitely is not, and I guess in 2009 autism in women wasn't in the public consciousness so they just called her crazy.

A part of how racisim, white supremacy, imperialism, and colonialism continues to survive is by keeping us ignorant in the simularities of our struggles. A great crash course video essay on the global war against black power by Olay aka Olurinatti

Did a 15k today. First run since the Reggae Marathon which was the 7th. Weird back pain slowed me down and also being late affected my time. But waking up 5:30am for running was probably what I needed to get out of the mental funk I'm in. Or not. I'm in bed doing work now so we'll see

Went on an airplane for the first time in 6 years and I was sad that no one clapped when we landed. And it was a Booeing flight too. You'd think ppl would clap that we made it out alive

I'm late to the party but I just watched Get Millie Black and really enjoyed it! First time seeing modern Jamaica in a series with queer and trans representation and a great storyline. Hope Marlon gets green lit to do more series!

This is wild!!!
They published an AI-generated summer reading list...and 10 of the 15 books didn't exist...completely made-up titles with descriptions, attributed to actual writers like Isabel Allende, Min Jin Lee and Rebecca Makkai...wild! 🫤😂🤷♀️ @destroytime.bsky.social @djmillerja.bsky.social @petchary.bsky.social
The special section was syndicated to the Chicago Sun-Times and other newspapers. To our great disappointment, that list recommended books that do not exist. We are committed to making sure this never happens again.
