gas >$4/gal for 168 days in 2026, old record 157. biggest monthly jump ever: +$1.13 in March (2022: 88c). Sept avg $4.33, a record (prev $3.83, 2012). $4.293 is highest ever for Oct 24. YTD avg $3.86 still trails 2022’s $4.07. highest prices ever heading into midterms.

Watch for the UNA vote share to rise, so REP share may not recover much even if DEM is maxed out (22% of 2026 votes cast so far vs. 15% of reg. voters-more data on that to come...)

Utah should be at 10% turnout now. This roughly in line with 2024 so far. On Election Day morning we started at 53% statewide turnout so something to keep in mind.
