It annoys me just how much "turn it off and turn it on again" is actually the way to solve 80% of computer/phone/tech issues. On one hand: Actually great because it's simple and easy. On the other: generations of IT dudes being smug because they were right all along.
Complained about computer speed and husband reminded me to restart it every decade or so. This is violence.

I though AI was just going to make the people who use it dumber, but it’s worse… AI is going to make people forget how to love
It's telling that men would rather try to invent tech to replace humans' role in caregiving than step up as equal partners in parenting.
Telling, that is, in that it shows how financial capitalism and patriarchy work together to dissuade men from doing "unprofitable" labor, like the work of care.

Ribbons and pearls 🎀
Ribbons of gas & dust wrap around the pearly centre of the galaxy NGC 1398.
NGC 1398’s spiral arms do not begin at its very middle, but stem from a straight bar instead. How many spiral galaxies share this feature?

You do NOT want the flu. It is not just a cold, it is way, WAY worse. Get vaxxed.
"It's crucial that people get an influenza vaccine," says Scott Hensley, a virologist at the University of Pennsylvania. "And this might be a year that people might want to get a vaccine early."
An early flu season means it might be time to think about a flu shot
Flu season typically starts in October or November. But it looks like the flu started to pick up in September this year.

If you use AI to "make" something, then I will not watch, play, read, listen to, or want anything to do with it.
If you put in no effort into making it, then why should anyone else care about it?
