As the eldest daughter of 10 and an educator for over a decade, I have learned that you can only relay the information you cannot force people to engage with it. I also know that a lot of times when there’s confusion automatically doing the research is not the default for many people.

Man...this topic was the last straw that ended my relationship with my twins' father. The fact that he didn't understand why I couldn't work two jobs, breast feed two babies, and finish my degree at the same time.

Sometimes a writer titles a poem so brilliantly and apropos of your feelings, you’re compelled to read it. Then you realize that it’s not just the title but the whole poem that speaks to you. “All the fucks I give (are so, so many)” by Maia Brown-Jackson @andyetpoetry is out Sunday, July 27th!
