The 3-5’s enjoyed going on local walks today, tying in with our Early Literacy interest.
We spotted some characters from the Gruffalo book which inspired curious conversations and story retelling!

Following our wee people’s interest in developing our gross motor skills we took a walk to Inchyra park where we climbed the stairs up to big slide. We ran chasing our peers & held on tight on the zip slide. It was lovely having our snack at the picnic tables #Followingchildrensinterest

Our wee people in the Pod made some oaty banana flapjacks today for our dessert. We recognised the ingredients used “banana” & “porridge”. We mashed our bananas and poured in our porridge oats before giving it a big mix. We enjoyed them after our lunch 😋#HealthyDesserts

The children in the Pod enjoyed the fire pit experience. SIMOA helped us understand boundaries and how to move safely when approaching the fire. We spoke about changes we could see such as the wood turning to ash and feeling the heat. We all listened so well and shown confidence around the fire.

The 3-5‘s have enjoyed some cooking and baking experiences recently. We made flapjacks and pitta breads, we even got to bake the breads on the fire outside!
