Absolute nonsense decision by Mary I here, and to blame industrial action is horrifically irresponsible & anti-union

Solidarity to the workers there
Graduation ceremonies at Limerick's Mary Immaculate College, slated to take place in the coming weeks, have been postponed until next year.

The decision comes on foot of planned industrial action by union members in the public service jrnl.ie/7176121

for relatively weak short term gains they weren't even slightly good at cynically capitalising on! Local Link should have made huge inroads for the Greens in rural Ireland, but they didn't aggressively frame it as their policy. now they're out, rollout of Local Link has slowed to a crawl
The public transport fare hike thing makes me so mad that both times the Green Party has been in a position to build long term success it has decided to blow itself up for relatively weak short term gains

Tony fuckin rocks, Matt Johnson is just a tremendous filmmaker

Even as someone who knew Anthony Bourdain for exactly two things, that was an immense film

That Coyote vs Acme movie is great

It's so cool that Peter Lorre, an actor who died in 1964, is still being referenced in movies in 2026. That rocks

Ken O'Flynn, Clown Prince of Cork North-Central, has submitted over 5,200 PQs this year. more than 10% of the total. 173 TDs submitting PQs and one in ten comes from a posh brain-poisoned little fancy boy who's too busy joining racist dogpiles to bother showing up to the foreign affairs committee
So far in 2026, TDs have asked 50,012 questions, compared with 40,466 in the same period last year, an increase of 19%.

In response, the Oireachtas has overhauled the system used for submitting parliamentary questions.

Oireachtas officials had to overhaul the system for TDs to ask questions to clamp down on AI use
There has been a sharp rise in the number of PQs submitted this Dáil term, with departments saying they are under pressure to keep up with them.

The AG's advice say it should be done as a matter of international law, with no distinction drawn between goods and services.

So whose advice is the Taoiseach referring to now?
Ireland: Taoiseach says he does not believe a ban on services from Israel was “implementable or viable” adding “the advice we have on that is fairly solid”.

“Also, legally, it’s not within our capacity to do it.”
