Nintendo's Customer Appreciation Sale just ended. it was mostly a bust for me because most of the games were older stuff that I either already bought or already decided not to buy, but the sale did at least give me an excuse to finally buy Kirby Fighters 2.

I tried the new Mario Kart World update! I haven't played the SNES courses yet but the new rallies are solid. I'm not hooked on Knockout Tour yet because I've only been playing it offline to get three stars, but playing it online now that I finally have NSO will probably make the mode feel more fun!

Kirby was a very exciting surprise, and it was nice for my prediction of a Wii Fit Plus Free Ride mode in Switch Sports Resort to be correct, but both games take series I love and make them large open worlds, and I don’t feel like that genre returns on my time investment enough.

I’m expecting to enjoy the Nintendo Direct coming up in several hours, but for whatever reason I’m kinda just in the mood to be pleasantly surprised instead of wanting to predict it. most of my predictions for the previous Direct are still fair game though, so I’ve attached them below.
Nintendo Direct predictions thread:
Super Mario Galaxy 3. I’d be fine with it just being more of the same, but I could also see it being like Bowser’s Fury except you’re freely flying between planets instead of swimming between islands. like BF, missions would change when you exited a level’s range
