I cannot imagine how it must feel to be alive now if you were a climate scientist in the 90s. to see all your direst forecasts ignored for decades and then not only come to fruition but be *worse* than your expert analysis suggested.

I don’t understand how now, in a time where the material suffering around us is harder to ignore than in most of our lifetimes & the reasons why are as clear as they have ever been, we still have so many for whom the very easy position of ‘we can & should help people unconditionally’ is unfathomable
