So let me get this straight. The government wants us to stockpile food in homes at risk of being burnt down and flooded, in case they get burnt down or flooded. Because they have no strategy for mitigation or adaptation beyond "You're on your own mate, deal with it."

The real driver for the West's obsession with increasing military spending is climate change. It's about holding back the millions of climate refugees and keeping a lid on dissent at home while taking what capital needs by force until the whole edifice collapses around us.
