Perhaps I missed something with #onebattleafteranother (2025) - it is, after all, up for umpteen international awards including 13 #Oscars next week - but here's my #review anyway.

I saw #HisforHawk a wee while back. The movie has a great cast, but it didn't exactly 'soar' for me.

See my #review for more about this 'Waitrose Kes'.

You need to see #Hamnet, director #ChloeZhao's life-affirming drama, that had me blubbing away!

It looks at Agnes - brilliantly played by #JessieBuckley - wife of #WilliamShakespeare #PaulMescal and the death of their son, Hamnet.

Second #movie #review today - #Surrogates (2009), a not exactly auspicious #scifi cop thriller with #BruceWillis tracking down the killer of one of the many youthful, beautiful #robots that replace their stay at home, older human versions.

#DangerousAnimals (2025) is a bit of a cinematic rarity - an #Australian #sharkattack movie.

It's available on digital download. See the #review for more. 🦈⛵️

So cruel. 😭

The latest #Superman stars #DavidCorenswet in the title role, a caped crusader facing an existential, personal and professional crisis when governments and the people lose faith in him.

4/5 stars in my #review: bit.ly/Superman25

I nipped into The Arc cinema in #Daventry to see #JurassicWorldRebirth  ...not so hot on the #movie but the #cinema and its team are splendid!

#Review below. 3/5 for the flick, 5/5 for Arc.

A #film #review from the archives... #Jaws 2 (1978).

The original Jaws was 50 years old in June, one of the most gripping action/horror #movies made, but the sequel is also worth a look.

4/5 stars. 🦈🎬

Watching #SunsetBlvd again. Lord knows how many times I’ve seen it, but it’s the #movie that propelled my interest in #cinema.

Thank you, #BillyWilder, #WilliamHolden, #GloriaSwanson, #ErichvonStroheim, #NancyOlson et al. It’s practically perfect.

my first #movie #review post ok Bluesky - #RidleyScott's not entirely auspicious return to #AncientRome with #GladiatorII.

Credit to JB Roux for the poster.
