Caretakers taken from seniors, our neighbors stolen away in the night, too few nurses to care for too many sick – these are the consequences of purposely thoughtless, unforgivably cruel immigration policy.

Donald Trump aimed his malice at our Haitian neighbors, but he left all of America wounded.

This march did not start with us.

63 years past the first March on Washington, I was proud to carry the torch lit by heroes of our history like Dr. King and John Lewis, as we confront the same fight against injustice and inequality that they devoted their lives to defeating.

Like so many, my thoughts and heart are with Nolan Wells on his birthday, today.

On this solemn celebration of the name, legacy, and beautiful spirit of their beloved son, I join the Wells family in praying for Nolan's eternal soul, and for the answers behind the tragedy that took him from us.

This is the second time in as many weeks we’ve seen these disturbing headlines. Congress deserves an explanation as to why OpenAI and Anthropic are failing to deliver the safety they promised, and the American people demand to know if they truly ever can.
Second major AI company says its systems hacked into other firms
Anthropic disclosed the previously undetected incident one week after ChatGPT developer OpenAI said one of its systems hacked a tech company.

If scammers steal your money, they shouldn't get to keep it.

That's why we're reintroducing legislation to fix a legal loophole and help families get money back when they’ve been ripped off.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo spent each day of the last 35 years making this nation better. He was a loving father and husband, a hard worker, and everything an American should aspire to be. He was all that and so, so much more. But ICE didn’t even hesitate to make him its next victim.

America's greatness was built upon birthright citizenship.

Its future will be, too.

On Juneteenth, we honor the resilience, sacrifice, and contributions of those who fought for freedom and justice.

As we celebrate our heritage and the ancestors who paved the way, let us remain committed to protecting the rights they fought so hard to secure.

We will not go back!

The Republicans’ SECURE Data Act doesn’t just fail to defend Americans’ civil liberties online – in fact, it risks leaving them more vulnerable than ever before.

Shouldn’t a privacy bill actually protect privacy?

To be the child of Caribbean immigrants is to be blessed with a culture and community unlike any others.

It is an honor to call myself a Caribbean American, and it is a privilege to wish my fellow sons and daughters of the diaspora a wonderful Caribbean American Heritage Month!

As we gather with our loved ones this Memorial Day, we do so in honor of the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Their unparalleled patriotism, courage, and commitment to freedom will never be forgotten, and can never be repaid.

Like so many of us, everything that I am, and all that I could ever hope to be, I owe to my mother. She’s been my guiding light since I started this life and, at 91 years old, she still continues to find new ways to inspire me.

I love you, mom. Happy Mother’s Day!

With undeniable intent, Donald Trump and his SCOTUS sycophants took a targeted strike against Black political power.

Their goal was to diminish our voice and role in this democracy. They will fail.
