It did some questionable choices with Zelda and Mario, but completely excelled by introducing the gaming world to Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4.
In an era overshadowed by the multi-million selling PS2, it's nice to celebrate the GameCube and some of it's awesome titles!

For its 25th anniversary, I wrote about the GameCube - an underappreciated console that prompted unprecedented change within Nintendo. It was mocked at the time but it's remembered fondly now, an uncomplicated box of fun that appeared right when games were entering their 'performatively adult' stage
