It is telling that the administration and the MAGAs don't even try to explain the dismantling of the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) buoys other than they want a "nimbler approach". WTaF?? Research and monitoring needs more data points, not less. Climate-change-deniers running the show.

While the Laos cave rescue is certainly amazing and interesting news, why is it plastered wall to wall on US news sites? Any updates on the Iran blockade/negotiations is either in tiny print or non-existent. Pretty sure that this story affects more of the US and the world.

I see that a leading Democratic candidate for Wisconsin governor is running on the platform of "defund and abolish police". Astounding. How'd that work for you last time? Defunding ICE is certainly a legit position. But attacking police funding is how you lose. Again.

The magnitude of Trump's (and his congressional minions) corruption continues to level up each week. What do you all think will happen AFTER the midterms when he has absolutely nothing to lose? ICE will be NICER? Conflicts of interest will be reduced? Illegal spending will end?

Our oligarch tech-bro overlords aren't heavily investing in Flock and other AI-fortified mass surveillance systems because of the subscription revenue from law enforcement users. That's not enough money to make it interesting. The big money is the behavioral data.

Because Trump has lowered American's foreign policy to match the transactional nature of Russia, China and others, I wouldn't be surprised if he let China take over Taiwan in exchange for Xi Jinping influencing Iran to open the strait.
