They’re a bit like poetry tarot.
Three weeks to go.

A person with a tail plays a horn to a hat with a snake drawn on it, while being watched by a rabbit and possibly a gnome who are underground, because that’s how art works.

Delighted to have my poem ‘When the Fieldfares’ among great company in Rialto 103. It’s a really good issue (yes, obviously I’m biased but it really is)

Here it is. Should be landing on doormats about now. And for those who so desire you can buy a copy online here.

A poetry magazine with a rather attractive cover full of brilliant poems in a desk next to Ammonite which was arguably still alive and swimming about when we started putting together this issue. Hey ho.

Slight delay, should be with subscribers and contributors from today as the distributors sent them out yesterday. Apologies, this has been a bit fraught what with this and that.

Howdy. Please excuse the silence.
R103 is on its way, currently at the printers. So it should be with you just after Christmas. It is we think worth the wait.

Waking up to being lost - I'm so grateful to Michael Mackmin for thinking about about my poem for @rialtopoetry.bsky.social www.therialto.co.uk/pages/2025/0...
The Lost – Dante’s Inferno, Canto 1 lines 1-3 Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita mi ritrovai per una selva oscura, che la diritta via era smarrita. At one point, midway on our path in life When I had journeyed half of our life’s way Half way along the road we have to go I came to in a gloomy wood In the midway of this our mortal life Midway upon the journey of our life Midway along the journey of our life I came around and found myself now searching Through a dark wood, the right way blurred and lost I found me in a gloomy wood, astray I found I was in a dark forest I found myself within a forest dark I found myself obscured in a great forest Bewildered, and I knew I had lost the way Halfway through the story of my life I woke to find myself in a dark wood Gone from the path direct For I had wandered off from the straight path For I had lost the path that does not stray Midway in our life’s journey The straightforward pathway had been lost Chrissy Williams
