Took the little man up Skiddaw Little Man today. We were aiming for the main summit but was blowing a v wet gale on the top. He wasn't impressed, so we bailed on trying the final ridge. And here are some high Lake stiles for you @lakesstiles.bsky.social. The one he's posing at is at 825m
Already knackered but enjoying the view just before we entered the cloud line The lower (740m) recreational stile below the little man Little Man at the Little Man (865m). And looking very unimpressed too At the high stile between Skiddaw and the Little Man at 825m. Can we just get down the hill now?

Morning drive past at #Saltburn on my way to a site visit up the road
Saltburn pier occupies the left hand side of the photo, vanishing into the sea by the middle of the p8c A view down the pier looking out to sea. 2 neat rows of benches line either side of the pier providing views towards Redcar on the left and the cliffs at the edge of the Yorkshire Moors to the right A plank level view of the pier deck looking inland towards the amusement arcade at the land end of the pier and behind it the funicular railway leads up to the hotels and houses on top of Saltburn Bank A view from the top of the funicular railway. The cars have been removed giving a clear view down to the pier below with the beach and the sea beyond. To the right are the cliffs which mark the edge of the Yorkshire Moors
