What gets me most about the Man City saga is a lot of people seem surprised.You’re talking about a club that can’t fill it’s stadium most weeks and returns 1,000’s of tickets for cup finals yet they’ve been claiming for years to have a higher turnover than Real Madrid.

Predictable crisis already at United,lack of investment and recruitment a major part of it but the level of application tonight has been a disgrace.Why does every team we play look so much fitter than us?

Predictable defensive frailties and poor game management again costing us.Thats 6 goals conceded against Hull,Ipswich and Everton.

Looks like that’s the window done for us then.Have to feel it’s yet another case of failing to fully back the manager.We’ll find out as the season progresses,but we look about 3 players light to me.Particularly at the back…

That’s more like it,bit of swagger about us 2nd half.Fernandez will rightly get the plaudits but Mainoo superb too.Defensively a lot of concerns so the next 48 hours vital to find some solutions.

Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Lewis Hall, Alexander-Arnold,Adam Wharton, Alex Scott, Morgan Gibbs-White & Cole Palmer missing out for Burn, Henderson, Spence, Quansah, Stones (has started 5 league games since 2024). We’ll be lucky to make the QF.

Leaving Maguire out of the WC squad is a big mistake for me.England have likely their poorest collection of centre backs in living memory so leaving out a guy of his experience and resilience is crazy.

Arsenal potentially being handed the title because of a foul by the opposition at a set piece is peak football irony.There were two clear fouls going on by Arsenal players in the same incident,awful side.

A first double over the old enemy in a long time and CL football to look forward to. For me the biggest question mark isn’t the identity of the manager next season,it’s will the board back the manager properly for once?.Anyone can see we need at least 7 top quality signings to continue to progress.

Watching a Premiere League game as I’ve a rare Saturday off,my goodness it’s poor.If United have the totally underwhelming summer window I’m expecting I’m seriously considering cancelling both my Sports packages.Domestic football in this country has become largely unwatchable,it’s that bad.

Fantastic Fergie time winner,showed a lot of heart again having been pegged back for the second week running. Definitely need to manage games better but it’s been a long time since it all felt this positive!

Fantastic performance and the result was thoroughly deserved.The fact Arsenal are top is a terrible look for the Premier League,horrendous side to watch.

Casemiro has had one of the great careers and has some decent spells for United.However I find some of the revisionist takes extraordinary really,and like Varane there were reasons Madrid sold him when they did.Never worth the total of £150 odd million in fee and wages.
