Rainbow and sunset for Mother's Day, but all I can hear in my head is Taylor Swift singing, "You know you're good when you can even do it with a broken heart."

Not exactly in the Golden Age for Boston sports anymore. 😂

It's wild that the Red Sox fired Jason Varitek. Cora? The others? Not so much.

April things. The rule for snow in April is it has to be pretty and it can't accumulate much.

Christopher Jackson, who played George Washington in "Hamilton," messed up the Opening Day national anthem for the Mets. That's so Metsy!

This pileated woodpecker flew right over my head in the woods and onto this dead tree a little before sunset.

King Eider (first I've seen) among a raft of common eiders and surf scoters. Been waiting ten years to see one of these. #WeirdDuckSZN

Makes you feel great when you do your taxes this year and owe money.
Per Mediaite:

The Pentagon spent “$2 million on Alaskan king crab, $6.9 million on lobster tail, $15.1 million on ribeye steak, and $1 million on salmon…272 orders of doughnuts for $139,224 and ice cream machines for $124,000.”

In September 2025 alone.

But really, we're 2 for 2 on Daylight Saving Time sunsets.

The lunar eclipse as it approached totality over the North Church. The blood red effect was visible - albeit faint - before it was washed out by the brightening daylight.

“Uh, Mr. President, you started this war.”
“But I stopped it.”

The NBC hockey broadcast team were incredible these entire games. Kenny Albert was on another level for this tournament, delivering iconic call after iconic call with passion and professionalism. You could feel the game through his voice. @awfulannouncing.bsky.social

If I were at that game I'd be applauding every single Canadian player as if they were my own. Such a great team, great players - and we love Canada. One team had to lose. This was an incredible game.

Zach Werenski getting the primary assist to win the gold medal for his best friend, Johnny Gaudreau. Absolutely love it for him.

February's "Snow Moon" looked fantastic this morning over a snow-covered Portsmouth and its South Meetinghouse. High clouds from the bomb cyclone off the east coast gave the sky around it a nice glow.

This is exactly the approach I hoped to see and more police departments across the country need this directive in place.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told his officers that they have a duty to intervene if they see ICE committing crimes and will be fired if they don't. We need a lot more of this.

Minneapolis police chief warns officers: Stop unlawful force by ICE or lose your job
Chief Brian O’Hara says he’ll fire city police officers if they don’t intervene when immigration agents use unlawful force.

Hmmm, Mr. President, it sounds like you've practically repealed the Second Amendment. How will your gun-toting, card-carrying cult followers feel about this? Will they leave their guns at home now?
