Now that the playtest is behind me. I can work on more "game breaking" changes, like I completely redone how pausing the game works, added zoom in/out, worked on the settlers behavior and changed the "storm fog" so that it shows better how it's blocked from walls.

Playtests for Storm Settlers are going well, it once again brought up my eternal UX battle to get people to understand the storm and how to protect from it. 😅

Added more icons, arrows on the side of the screen, directional destruction.

I wanted "advanced food" so wheat made sense as not only can it wave in the wind, but having windmill that produce faster during storms made complete sense for the gameplay.

A lot more animation and texture on top moving with the wind, based on the next sandstorm (and moving faster during the storm)

I'm still hard at work on Storm Settlers on my way for a playtest on ⭐April 20th⭐

I added a bunch of new mechanics such as a "mood" system influencing the settlers productivity and actions.

Better treat them right or they'll let you know 😡

Still working on Storm Settlers. I added new types of caravans and balanced how they progress through the game.

And I'm currently working on a "mood" system, to have settlers be angry / happy based on what's going on in the game.

The ultimate goal of improving the water art was to make tile resources "run out" eventually. A problem in my game was that a lot of things were "infinite" making it very hard to balance.

So now water patches eventually run out, with ofc a visual feedback!
