Hello! You're welcome to join me in my journey to make more art. I'm tired of having to get the cobwebs out of the very few examples of my work that I have. Hopefully that will change soon :D

Inktober 2026 - Day 4 (Cactus) + Day 5 (Smack)

I couldn't finish yesterday's drawing in time! But I won't let that set me back.

Cactus = Some doodles, directly in ink

Smack = I opted for a more peaceful interpretation.

A collection of cacti. They're cartoonish and they're mostly different from one another, as they're different species, and the simple ones that just shot up like a finger with no branches, are not exact copies of one another. Two faces with their lips touching. One is on top of the other. They're facing different directions too, in such a way that their respective noses touch their respective chins. They have their eyes closed.

Inktober 2026 - Day 3 - Miniature

Love cats + so tired today = can I sleep on a giant cat?

That would be great, but I'm sure size is the only reason we're not cat food.

A tiny cat like this would be so cute, though.

#inktober #inktober2026 #art #artsky #alt-text-art
An extremely small schematic drawing of a cat is barely visible in the middle of a white page. A cartoonish magnifying glass that appears from the bottom right corner let's us see Tiny Cat is white, has darker eyes (probably blue, but this is black and white), a pink nose and ears, and very prominent eyebrow whiskers. Never forget the whiskers, nor the eyebrows. The page is otherwise empty, so you can notice Tiny Cat is really tiny.

Inktober 2026 - Day 2 - Relic

I couldn't choose which relic to depict, so I decided to make a little story to draw a simple relic. It took me longer than expected to ink this simple page :P

#inktober #inktober2026 #art #artsky #alt-text-art #pride
Short comic. It's all black and white, cartoonish and shaded with big black zones and crosshatching zones for the lighter areas. The outlines are thick and the inner lines are thin. The page has been colored black, but the background in the panels is white. First panel: a ringbox with two simple rings in it. Second panel: zoom out, an old Granpa Bunny looks at the ringbox with nostalgia, as he thinks about an old Grandma Bunny. He wears suspenders and a dress shirt, and has a slight moustache. Granma bunny has a dress with lapels on the neck, a pearl necklace, and glasses. Third panel: Granpa Bunny smiles as his thoughts drift to his grandchild and their partner. The Grandchild Bunny is wearing a dress shirt, a long skirt and a bowtie on their neck. Their partner is wearing a tie and a dress with frills. A heart is shown between them. Fourth panel: Granpa Bunny hands his ringbox to his grandchild, who smiles with an open mouth and rised eyebrows. Granpa Bunny smiles.

Inktober 2026 - Day 1 - Apple

Thought about making a comic, designing characters, drawing something complicated. But I decided to keep things light, because I actually want to finish the challenge this year. Also, I need to practice crosshatching!

#inktober #inktober2026 #art #artsky #alt-text-art
A semi-realistic apple, not too cartoonish, not really realistic. I used a thick outline but very thin lines for the crosshatching. The crosshatching tries to follow the 3D form of the apple, but it still doesn't fully manage to do it. Also, it's a bit messy. There's nothing else in the picture. A very simple practice drawing.

Life is complicated right now, but at least I painted this D U C K. Isn't he handsome?

#art #artsky #traditionalart #alt-text-art #duck

Other news: I will be participating in Inktober this year! It's my dream to complete the challenge! Wish me luck hehe
Semi-realistic wild duck looking to the left with its body facing right. Its head is dark green, its chest is brown and its tail is grey, but it turns white at the tip. Its legs are orange and its beak is yellow. It quacks with an open mouth. The background is light blue. The whole duck is outlined in a darker, but still light, blue. However handsome, this duck is an ordinary duck, so the result has no great expression of emotion, but I felt so relaxed painting it, losing myself in the texture of the feathers, even if it looks unrealistic. The texture doesn't quite follow the body perfectly, but it looks fluffy, with all the short strokes simulating smaller feathers, and their organization in half circles simulating bigger clusters. Base colors for the duck. Base drawing in yellow acrylic marker. Mistakes are covered by the background color.

A one-day painting! I think I haven't started and finished a project for fun in a single say since I was a kid!

What animal should I paint next? :D

#art #traditionalart #artsky #acrylicmarkers #alt-text-art
A stylized deer in many shades of brown, grey and black. It's looking directly at the viewer with its body continuing to the right. It has a light cream oultine. It's constructed out of simple shapes and flicks of the marker, like something between cell shading and post impressionism. I must confess I didn't spend long drawing the base layer, so it has slight proportion issues. It is born out of a desire to paint, mostly. My acrylic marker set. It's for kids, but it has many colors and that motivates me to use it. The piece of paper where I scribble out the mixed paint out of my markers, to make the color pure again.

This is a #WIP.

I still remember the first horse I tried to draw as a kid. It looked like some kind of dog. I remember not being able to translate what my eyes saw into a recognizable shape, so frustrating haha

Portrait of a horse, but still just a graphite sketch. Only the head and part of the neck and back are visible. The head is turned to the left. The horse is wearing reins. It isn't photorealistic, but it isn't stylized either. It's mostly lineart.

Trying something more whimsical here...

#art #traditionalart #sketch #illustration #alt-text-art #originalart #ArtProcess #WIP #catart #animalart
Blue fine liner sketch of a witch cat walking down a road while smiling. Three long hair locks come from each of her cheeks. She's in the middle of a step, tilting to one side with her arms wide open. There's a cloud on the upper right corner, some flowers and some rocks on the side of the road. The terrain on which the road is built on is uneven, matching the diagonal of the witch cat's arms. We know she's a witch cat because she has a robe, a bow on her neck and a witch hat. The sketch is very rough, with multiple mistakes for each part of the drawing, there's even an inkblot near her bow. The stylization is rather childish, not because of the roughness, but because of the simplistic and friendly nature of the drawing. Notable details: folds in the clothes present, ruffles at the end of her robes, her fangs and claws poking out, inverted groups of triangles that act as noticeable clumps of grass, flower leaves, the right long sleeve of her robe comes down and the left one gets squished near her shoulder, as they are wide sleeves. Also, the left one has a perspective issue.

Generally we think of alt-text as the domain of those with accessibility needs.

However alt-text is useful for many reasons, which benefit your viewers, as well as you, the creator!
An infographic. There are six panels. 1. "Slow internet. Alt text is shown in place of unloaded images." a drawing shows a phone with poor signal, and alt text is visible where the image should have loaded. 2. "Findabillity. Alt text helps to search content." A drawing shows someone searching 'dog with banana' and a post is shown underneath without the words 'dog' or 'banana'. It is implied to be part of the alt text. 3. "Screen readers. Alt is read out to people using text-to-speech software". There is a drawing of the output a screen-reader would show when viewing an image with alt text on bluesky. 4. "Translation. Alt text can be translated". A drawing shows a post being translated. The alt text is also translated into german. 5. "Readability. Text in images can be made legible" There is a drawing of some truly awful handwriting inside a speech bubble. The alt text clarifies what the text is supposed to say. 6. "Disambiguation. Description helps clarify intent." There is a drawing of a post with a picture of a creature. This is styled after the famous optical illusion of a rabbit and a duck. The alt text clarifies that the animal is a rabbit. It definitely looks more like a duck.
