Yay, Ohioans! So is Trump going to come down on a Red State the way he did on Minnesota?
This got me choked up.

Ohio, thank you for this. 🙏🏽

And God bless Viles Dorsainvil, Exec Director of the Haitian Support Center.

Haitians aren’t criminals. They were here legally under TPS until Trump stripped those protections. Yet we’re humiliating them by forcing them to wear ankle monitors.

More like this, pls, Dems:
There you have it: solar is now generating more energy than coal.

That didn’t stop Trump from lighting $700 million taxpayer dollars on fire to try and prop up the coal industry. But the proof is there. Solar is cheaper, cleaner, more reliable.

The odds are better than normal that whoever's on the ballot as the Democrat in your district this November will win.

So it's important this primary season to make sure that whoever that person is, they're committed to an aggressive agenda of reform and accountability once they take office.
Dems are polling crazy high based on the flaming catastrophe that is Republican fascist rule, so primarying as many of the bad weak complicit Democrats in favor of good determined angry ones has rarely if ever been more crucial
Yes, I want to see most or perhaps all of these scumbags in prison. But I gotta be honest: I look at the Democratic Party and I don't see more than a handful of people with the integrity and fortitude to make that happen.

Warsh hearing so far has been kind of frustrating. No one has asked the questions that seem most relevant to me:
1) is Trump's criminal investigation into Powell appropriate?
2) what would you do if Trump threatened retribution against you if he didn't like your actions/Fed policy decisions?

I assume that tonight Trump will head for the exits in Iran. He may try to disguise the retreat by announcing the U.S. is leaving NATO, which Trump will present as a liberation from ungrateful allies and a victory for America First.

So he'll make a bad outcome far worse.

Search-and-rescue crews were “flying blind” trying to rescue survivors from deadly tornadoes that hit the Midwest last week.

Why? Because Kristi Noem hadn't approved FEMA’s $200,000 contract with a tornado-tracking tool.

But she had time to spend $220 million on anti-immigrant ads. Priorities.

The Trump administration could really restore confidence by getting the entire Cabinet to ride a tanker through the Straits of Hormuz to show everyone how safe and easy it is now.

They could bring along a lot of MAGA influencers and Fox News hosts to broadcast it all live!
Bessent: "That was always in our planning -- the chance that the US Navy or perhaps an international coalition will be escorting tankers through. There are tankers coming through now. We know that they have not mined the Straits."

But if you ever believed that the American Right broadly supported 2nd Amendment rights, as opposed to rights for people who agreed with them, you are a fool.

We've made it very easy to cut out the messy, time-consuming stuff that actually builds real relationships.

But "inconvenience is the cost of community," and if you want a village, it takes showing up, working through conflict and choosing people over convenience.

The price of belonging is inconvenience. Are we still willing to pay it?
Every time we choose people over convenience, we invest in community. The real question in our homes, workplaces and democracies is whether we are willing to pay that price.

The psychological desire to be the “true” victim predicts anti-democratic attitudes
Both Republicans and Democrats who engage in “competitive victimhood” are more prone to endorsing policies that undermine democracy. A new study suggests this tendency is driven by a psychological process of viewing the opposing party as less than human.

50% of Americans are struggling to afford groceries, let’s start there. Then add the fact that we have a president who thinks we’re lying about it.

I’m just waiting for the next poll that asks, “Does the president care about people like me?”
