Elizabeth and I share many connections. It’s no surprise that so much of what is in the Roosevelt Institute’s Good Life Agenda under her leadership reflects our priorities in the Mamdani administration, especially recognizing that an economy isn’t just numbers.

The Trump administration killed the IRS’s free Direct File program. Now, former DOGE “officials” are reportedly considering putting free direct filing into a new AI-powered government portal.

They could have just kept Direct File.
Trump Aides Are Prepping an AI Takeover of Government Services
Former DOGE operatives are working on a website that could offer services like direct tax filing — similar to a Biden-era program the Trump administration killed.
