Picked up God of War on a sale a while back, and played a little today.

Let me tell you this game is hard on those of us with Daddy issues.

I remember thing told at Uni “Wikipedia is not a valid reference.”

Bet they’d kill for an actual real reference now, Wikipedia or not.

Being forced into an inactive role in a life changing situation is ‘waiting mode’ hell. I’ve been through times where I’ve felt like it’s sucked the joy out of writing and for me, or even ended me as an author—BUT, I’m now drafting more books and have been falling in love with writing again 💚
When people told me being on sub was worse than querying, I didn’t believe them, but I regret to inform y’all… 😹

Being autistic and having ADHD, I frequently explain to people that I’m always balancing between being overstimulated and understimulated.

This morning I realised that it aligns with an emotional issue, too. I always feel like I’m either ‘too much’ or ‘not enough’.

Prime Ministers resign in some level of disgrace or meander off to quieter expensive pastures—the transient nature of the post and proximity to powerful sources of corruption just make it a get rich while your hands are on the wheel trip. We need visible accountability.

Just saw a fancast of Connor Storrie as Gambit and I can totally see it

I feel like we should do writing community group project where we create a series of videos, shorts, and resources showing just how profoundly shit GenAI is.

We can call it ‘Authorial Intelligence.’

Funny thing about being an elder millennial: sometimes you feel really old and your knees barely work, but other times you remember that all you’d need to blow Gen Z’s minds is a shot of tequila, a couple of glow sticks, some flashing lights, and the right song because 20 years would just evaporate.

I thought it was worth doing a video on how GenAI melts your brain as a writer, even if you're telling yourself you're only using it for some of the "boring bits".

What first attracts rich and powerful figures deeply entrenched with corruption, sexual abuse, and discriminatory practices to putting crosshairs on vulnerable minorities to distract from their despicable conduct?

Hold your breath yall but it looks like I actually set myself an achievable ‘to do’ list for the day…

Today’s meltdown brought to you by: my fiance worked from home instead of going to work and everything changed because I was going to get a takeaway alone for dinner but we had lunch together and now I’m not really hungry so don’t want a takeaway but am also a bit hungry and don’t know what to do.

Had a super productive Friday planned, but then by fiancé changed his shift to work from home so that’s the entire day written off for some reason not clear to me about how my brain works…

I may not have a book deal yet, but it’s #flexfriday and I’ve been working hard and feel good ☺️

Just me out for a walk on my own coming across a cat laying on the path in the allotment. I ask him how his day is and if he’s enjoying the sun and he miaows at me, I get his permission to gently pet his head and we are now friends. I thank him for letting me pet him and we both go about our days.

Everyone thinks London is all cool and metropolitan and functional, but in reality I just had to pay for a taxi to get home from my shift because they closed the tube line at the same time as having a bus strike…

Hi all, our lovely editor Rob is in danger of getting kicked out of the UK if he doesn't raise enough money for immigration fees by 27 Oct, so he's set up a GoFundMe. We very much want him here, making queer books, so if you're able to donate or simply share his campaign, we'd be so grateful!

Okay so authors love em-dashes and semi-colons, but what punctuation do you HATE?

I hate en-dashes.
