#Iceland has narrowly rejected a referendum proposal to resume EU accession talks frozen in 2013, by 53% to 47% on an 82.5% turnout.
The campaign featured debates around security, economics, and sovereignty, but fisheries - which make up 40% of Iceland's exports - may have been the decisive factor.
