The 1911 Flying Girl arrived in the mail today. It is in much better condition than my 1912 Flying Girl and Her Chum. Both by L Frank Baum writing as Edith Van Dyne.

Lovely conversation last night with the graphic designer about the next anthology. We're mostly settled on the front cover, but she's doing more fancy on the back cover than Jaunts. Also dealing with plumbers, so that's slowing stuff down. But a November cover reveal may be possible. Onward!

Bunch of stuff done so I can get back to writing. Somebody asked if I had a set time to write every day. Cue hollow laughter.

GM: I see your character has a lot of Occult skill and lists mastery in several psychic powers. What terrible and soul-crushing price did they pay to learn this dark and forbidden knowledge?
Player: He spent $2.50.

Writing life is made up of random moments, no more so than the accounting end of it. There's a mystery deposit that must be a royalty of some sort ($8) that no way offsets my plumbing bill today ($481). So I'm treating myself to a pumpkin spice bagel and closing the books on another month.

I'm still reading books off the TBR pile, although fall reads seem to be many classics off the shelf. Including L Frank Baum's The Flying Girl, which turned out to be an exciting 1911 aeronautics adventure: rosemaryjones.blogspot.com/2026/09/re-r...
