A shrouded figure rises, or is pulled upward by an unseen force. A golden sword with a hand for a hikt falls to the ground to join a golden breastplate. Giant stone faces watch the ascent.

Framing my art has always given me conniptions, but after seeing Esther scrolls and revisiting some Giger sketches, I feel like I've found my solution. What do y'all think?

An metal scroll holder is open showing the painting "Unwitting Anointment" by Ralphi Burgess. It depicts an large guardian angel watching their ward sympathetically as they are anointed through hardship and pain.

WIP from my wizard series. "Haunting" is the goal and studying baroque and academism portraits has helped a ton

Conduit wires mimic a ribcage. Bionic hands emerge from the shadows, grabbing chunks of flesh. The one at the center seems to be looking for the next piece of flesh to take.

So proud to be a part of the Mixtape Exhibition in Kuala Lumpar, Indonesia. This was such a fun concept and all of the designs were so stylish. If you're in the area check out the exhibit and Fab's awesome space

"Botanist's Last Entry"

Before the Wizards were enlisted for their help, the edge of the forests were littered with half-finished sketchbooks and empty boots.

"Lunch with The Hermit"

Adding another Wizard to my series. He hasn't entertained in a long while, but he's trying his best to be a good host and a measure less unsettling.

#art #wizard #surreal #DarkArt #artsky #painting #fantasy #characterdesign #creature #birds
A masked wizard sits across from the viewer at an oddly-set table. He's welcoming and red finch are perched and relaxed around the table but the shape of the wizard is strange. The wizard is wrapped in white wings, pearls, and flowing cloth. An ibis beak peaks from behind the mask.

Another wizard character I created. I think he was human at one point, but we're far past that time now

A wizard more human than creature stares at the viewer from the shadows, pulling his cloak defensively over himself as a sliver of light is let in. A thin strip of it illuminates his amorphous form

Shoutout to Tolkein for being an endless source of eldritch inspiration. I was envisioning Ulmo cordially inviting Morgoth into the deep in this painting
