Solid performances elevate #PrimetimeMovie (Skyler Gisondo > Robert Pattinson) and #ResidentEvil (Austin Abrams!), two imperfectly okay early fall releases. Did I finally find a Zach Cregger film I didn't despise? Hell just froze over. My Miamiartzine reviews: bit.ly/4rzUjtZ

I'm not a political pundit, but isn't this widespread coverage of the Trump administration's White House media ban by the very outlets that were given the heave ho exactly what the Trump administration is counting on? #justsaying

Two women. Two raised fists. One shared fight for equality.
Dorothy passed in 2022. Now Gloria is gone too.
Two giants who helped change America.

If I were running an LGBTQ+ film festival, I'm pretty sure I would have kept the fact that I caught a weekend matinee of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" out of social media for all the world to see. #justsaying

Followup questions:
1) Do you think we all forgot that this was supposed to be a completely different movie called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and will now believe that in 2019 you were cleverly laying track for this one instead?
2) Did you notice that the director of Spider-Man didn't give homework?

Dolly broke me in early to her raucous self deprecating sense of humor
when we began steel magnolias rehearsals
i asked her - how long does it take to do a hair do like yours?
Dolly - no idea, i’m never there when they do it!
i started taking Dolly-isms notes on the back of my script after that

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

For starving US sailors aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Lincoln, they’re rewarding Donald by naming another aircraft carrier after him, which was previously named after a Black sailor hero from Pearl Harbor. I have to leave now to buy a new phone because I’m gonna throw this one across the room.
