The thing is that there is so much animosity towards Murakami (and with some reason, his work is certainly not for everyone, as much as its popularity would lead you to believe), but what made me be at peace with me liking him so much is that David Gatten absolutely adores the guy.

I know it's not kosher to say things like this, but with every day I feel that religion has done more harm than good as an overall sum. It's okay to have beliefs, but I don't think you need an organization to administer those beliefs. Every institution is corrupt. Each and every one.

It's not at all about Donnie Darko though.
I don't know if this is publishable or not, but I need to have this out into the world as a way of purging my body and mind off it.
