With the increasing rise in transphobia and trans antagonism, it can be hard to know whether a therapist practices in a way that respects and affirms your identity and experience.

That’s why TACTT have developed a new trans affirming therapist checklist!
A set of prompts and questions for anyone looking to understand if their therapist is trans-affirming. The image is in two columns - red flags and green flags. The resource is created by “therapists against conversion therapy and transphobia” and at the bottom is the TACTT website: www.therapistsagainsttransphobia.org. The image text reads: Heading: Is my therapist Trans Affirming? Full alt text can be found here: https://therapistsagainsttransphobia.org/2026/08/26/new-resource-trans-affirming-therapist-checklist/

a crop of a digitally drawn comic page. the panel in view shows a woman, upside-down and half submerged in the arm of a large dark beast, which holds it's arm up to bring the woman level with it's face. the woman is holding a man up in the air with her, bringing him up to the monster's face, too. the man is nervously asking "uhhh, mica?", but the woman frantically replies "hold on! just trust me!". there is a small snippet of the next panel to the right.

a digitally drawn comic page. the first few panels for a pale girl with long blonde hair and a unicorn horn flicking through a book in an unknown language. a translated segment of the book reads "For as long as we uphold the cycle, our God will watch over us.". the girl looks up through a devastated hole in the roof of the room she sits in, and gazes at the full moon above. in the final panel, she asks "then where are you now?", as we see more of the tattered room around her. a digital art painting of a satyr dancing under a yellow moon. he is backlit, and otherwise cast in shadows, except his eye which is lit ominously. he has long blonde hair that trails down to his waist. a digital art painting of a man tied to a totem pole as a large tidal wave, caused by a watery beast in the background, rushes over them. fish swim around them through the strong current. in front of the man stands a small kitten, unmoved by the rush of water, letting out a passionate meow. a dialogue box in the bottom left corner reads "i think it's hungry!" a reference sheet of a 3d model. the character is humanoid, but appears to be made of a blue crystal, which is seen instead of skin from the neck down. their left arm is large and beast-like, and their spine has large crystals trailing down it. they have two crystal horns atop their head, one of which is segmented and floating in position. they wear an oversized jacket which is rolled at the sleeves, and is seen to have a dark blue variant and a variant that is pastel blues, pinks, and greens. their hair is also showcased to come in dark blue with a light blue underside, or bright pink with a dark grey underside. on their shoulder sits a quadrupedal shark-like creature with a similar crystal spine and crystal claws. the character is otherwise wearing a long-sleeve turtleneck, with a diamond-shaped cut in the centre that reveals a crystal ribcage, black jeans with holes in the knees, and large gothic boots with a golden plate on the heel.
