Last year was already the lowest murder rate since 1900, so, uh, kinda big deal if this holds up. Nevertheless, old folks will keep on talking about how dangerous it is these days and how poor we all are.
Murder is down 20% in the latest RTCI sample covering the first quarter of 2026. The sample has 557 agencies covering 115 million people. Violent crime is down ~6% and property crime is down more than 11%.

there is this funny dynamic where centrists want to signal credible moderation on “wokeness” to low info voters but absolutely hate every existing version of this because the only people left of center who can credibly signal anything are way to the left of them

I have a cushy middle class job (Hospice Chaplain), so - like - 6-8 hours a day but when I worked full time at the nightshift for Walmart… eight hours a day, sixteen on the weekends.

I think the median D&D pantheon is very bad, from a gaming perspective, because it is unclear why a PC would worship/fight/deal with them and their followers and has bad “hooks” for memory.
So here’s my alternate suggestion: Just steal the ensemble cast of the fictional property of your choice.
