Happy Pub Day, @lewoodsy.bsky.social! Years ago, I got to work with the inimitable Laurel Woods on early drafts of her wild memoir about a strip club empire, family secrets, & murder. Now it is out in the world. So proud of you, Laurel! ❤️🍾❤️🍾

It hasn’t been all balmy, blue-sky days this summer, but I am editing outdoors on every single one of them and feeling grateful for it.

I feel sad for my former self who never read this perfect novel. Happy for my current self who is lingering in the sad, beautiful, listless, poignant story. Jealous of my future self who gets to read it over and over. @penguinrandomhouse.bsky.social

If words are how you make sense of the world, use them. Write to figure things out. Write to manage anxiety. Write to reach others. Write to create change. Writing is an act of hope.
