TIL I can't trust the pressure gauge on my Slime air compressor. TPMS says 28. Compressor says 35. Bought a pair checker to settle the score. 28. Slime loses.

It is difficult to believe Microsoft takes security seriously if they require you to set up a pin in place of a password and the pins are far more often shorter and less complex than the password was.

I can tell my phone to screen a call as often as you auto-dialing scum can call me.

@carnivalcruise.bsky.social 's phone menu is probably fine if you have a problem listed by their system. If not, welcome to circular illogic hell. 0/5 stars for the phone menu.
To get a human I had to claim I have a future booking and that can't find my number.

The standard, unpersonalized Arizona license plates are up to "KKA ___" at this point. I hope someone had the foresight to have the generator skip the "KKK ___" batch.

@signal.org Any plans to distribute the app through third party app stores such as f-droid in case the Play store starts any problems?

I miss the days when we only got 1 new web front end framework a year... month... week... day...

I didn't realize you could steal an entire country until I heard what Antigua did to Barbuda.

What is the point in dining out when restaurants are buying from the same handful of suppliers? Your favorite restaurant, especially if it's a chain, is making the same food as the next ten.

I have a new opening question for FB marketplace cars.
Instead of asking for a time to see it I'll be asking if they are "listing it for a relative".

Why does every car dealer site (I've looked at) list their cars alphabetically by default? Is there a significant number of shoppers out there looking for a VW, but stopped at the Aston Martin listing?

Pardon me if I have a complete lack of sympathy for AI companies hacking into each other.

Why does it seem like every laid-off mechanic is suddenly a car dealer?

YT is full of shorts about people doing amazing things or being taught lessons... except they're from movies and TV, and they happen because it's what the script says.

You too can have amazing things and teach those who wronged you a lesson. As long as you have an all-powerful writer. #smh

Car dealer: Just passed emissions.

Me (plugging in my OBDII scanner): Evap system not ready for emissions. (Automatic fail in AZ.)

Car was in that window of time between resetting the check engine light and having enough data to re-light (or maybe not) the check engine light.

Car dealer doc fees...
Imagine if Walmart added line items for the door greeter, the cleaning crew, and the HR people at corporate.
I was going to use restaurants as an example, but the ever growing default tipping percentage ...

Actually, I guess we're "tipping" the car dealer office people.

Netflix is struggling with keeping viewers "hooked" because it keeps canceling shows after 1 season so no one trusts a Netflix show to last.

Its that simple, regardless of whatever their bullshit internal analytics are informing them.

I understand limiting how many articles an unpaid user can see, but the subscriber only articles were annoying. Replaced cnn with apnews on my home page shortcuts.

Walked into a new (to me) restaurant hopping to try something new. Passed a worker rolling a Cosco dolly out. So if I eat here it sounds like more of the same.

I'm beginning to think Korean TV shows might be the least disappointing thing to watch on a streaming service. They're created to only be one season, so you aren't left wondering if it's getting renewed or will have to wait so long for the next season that you've forgotten the show.

Grocery store putting a $9 item on sale for 10 cents off feels like an insult. Are they really hoping someone goes "ooh, a sale" and shuts off their brain?

The 60 Minutes anchors should start a new show named 42 Minutes highlighting how brutally honest they are when you count commercial breaks.
