The Silos
(yes, those Silos)
Waco, Texas

#Photography #StreetPhotography #Fujifilm #FujifilmXE5 #TheSilos #ChipAndJoannaGaines #Magnolia #Waco #Texas #SilentSunday
The Silos, a la Chip and Joanna Gaines. The titular silos dominate the scene, with a play yard out front, where two people kick a ball around. String lights can be seen silhouetted in the the foreground, but it's midday, so they're not lit.

McAlister, Texas

#Photography #StreetPhotography #Texas #BlackAndWhitePhotography #bwPhotography #UrbanGaze #Bar #Restaurant
This is a black and white photograph showing two women standing in the doorway of a building. One woman is wearing a patterned dress and facing away from the camera, while the other is wearing a dark top and patterned skirt, facing towards the camera. The doorway appears to be the entrance to a bar or restaurant, with a "112" sign visible above the door. "Do Not Block" appears to the left of the door.

This is a black and white photograph of the Dallas skyline, featuring several tall skyscrapers under a cloudy sky. In the foreground, there is a highway with a vehicle driving past. This image features Reunion Tower, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Dallas skyline. Standing 561 feet tall, the tower is famous for its distinctive geodesic dome, often referred to locally as "The Ball". The black and white photograph captures the tower alongside other downtown skyscrapers under a cloudy sky, with a highway running in the foreground.

Thank You for Shopping
McAlister, Texas

#Texas #Antique #bwphotography #BlackAndWhite #Photography #StreetPhotography #Fujifilm #FujifilimXE5
Black and white photo of the inside of an antiques store, taken from a second floor overlook. The store is crowded with items, all cast in shadow. Light comes in from the wall of windows facing the street. A woman stands silhouetted, having just entered and ready to shop. The same store as the previous photo, again backlit from the street windows. Different angle. You can see the outlines of different items, and you can more clearly see the sidewalk outside.

University Heights Ostrich
San Diego, California

#SanDiego #California #Photography #Mural #ColorPhotography #Fujifilm #FujifilmXE5 #UrbanGaze
A painting of a mural on a wall in University Heights in San Diego. The mascot for University Heights is the ostrich, for some reason, so the mural depicts an ostrich staring at you, surrounded by very large flowers, and a slated banner that simply reads "University Heights"

Cliff Brown Automotive
San Diego, California

#Car #California #SanDiego #Photography #Fujifilm #FujifilmXE5 #StreetPhotography #UrbanGaze
An independent auto mechanic shop, across the street from the POV of the camera. It’s a low, white building, looking like something built in the 70s or 80s. A truck is up on a lift, outdoors. Of course it’s outdoors because it’s San Diego. Anywhere else in the country, this would be a terrible idea. The sky is blue with a few small clouds. The back side of a stop sign is in the foreground, and yellow crosswalk stripes are in the lower right of the frame.

Rooftop
San Diego, California

#SanDiego #California #Photography #StreetPhotography #bnwPhotography #Fujifilm #FujifilmXE5
A stark black and white photo of a rooftop bar patio in University Heights, San Diego. You see a modern pergola cutting black lines through a bright sky, with palm trees further in the background, and a standup propane heater in the foreground (because San Deigns are wimps and cannot tolerate even remotely less than perfect temperatures)

Lone House
San Diego, California

#SanDiego #California #SilentSunday #Photography #UrbanGaze #Fujifilm #FujifilmXE5
A house perched on the edge of a canyon. In reality, there are other houses near it, and it overlooks a busy commercial area. But in the photo, it appears alone, partnered with a tall palm tree.

An older couple sits in Adirondack chairs outdoors, underneath large umbrellas. Many other umbrellas can be seen. A man (a waiter) stands in front of them, discussing the wine selections at this outdoor wine bar. The sun is very bright, and the shadows are quite deep.

View from a the end of a dead end rode in University Heights. You see a canyon with southwestern style brush, emptying out into a highway and the roofs of shopping plazas in the middle distance. The sun sets off camera left, throwing soft golden light onto the scene.

Sonny's Pizza
University Heights, San Diego, California

#Photography #StreetPhotography #UrbanGaze #Pizza #Fujifilm #FujifilmXE5 #California #SanDeigo
An old school pizza parlor sign reading "Sonny's Pizza." It's ringed in lights, like an old movie marquis sign. "Sonny's" is in red neon lights in a script font, and "Pizza' is underneath in yellow neon.

Two more from the dog beach

#Dogs #SanDiego #California #DogsOfBluesky #Photography #StreetPhotography (??) #Fujifilm #FujifilmXE5
A black and white spotted Great Dane pounces toward a beagle mix (maybe) at the beach. Dog owners look on, while the waves roll onto the beach from the right. A black and white spotted Great Dane runs with gusto into the frame. He's being intercepted by another dog between him and the camera (no idea what breed) and a sorta Westie looking dog coming in from the left. The waves roll in behind the Dane.

A high contrast black and white photo of the inside of a microbrewery. In focus in the background stand the large, shiny metal cylinders the brewing takes place in. A woman stands in a short line to get her food from a ballpark vendor. The vendor stand is lit from within, and the sky is dark. The woman's gray hair is illuminated, making something of a halo over her head. The scene is full of steam from the food prep station.

The sun has set over Padres stadium. You can see the sky still lit up in orange, pink, and purple over the first base side. The field is mostly in view as well, illuminated by stadium lights. The Western Metal Supply Co building is in view.

At the Game
There's no post processing in this photo. The stadium lighting, reflections, and sunset (plus a Fujifilm recipe) just sorta made this all look like a movie set.

photo taken from a walkway in Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres. Two women are in the foreground, their backs to the camera. One is wearing a Tatis Jr jersey. A shot taken down the Tenth Ave from the vantage point of Petco Park. This stretch of road is lined by pastel blue and yellow buildings. Then sun is beginning to set, so it's just the beginning of golden hour, which is amplifying the pastel pallet.

Black and white photo, high contrast, of a few modern, mid-rise buildings. The light and shadow are really the main draw of this one.
