I don't post a lot on here and furthermore don't do a lot of personal stuff but my friend of 40+ years and I did the Rockwall Trail in Kootenay this week and it was a very good experience.

I went to the Vernon Cadet Training Centre as a kid. I also know the woman on the right. we volunteered with kids together, she is a model citizen. this shit is sickening.
This is a picture of two women from the Vernon Cadet Training Centre, which holds summer programming for 12-18 year olds to develop skills on the way to adulthood. Unlike Secretary Hegseth, they do not deserve contempt or ridicule.

I see today that the Government of Canada is discontinuing its VHF weather service, Weatherradio. On its website it says you can just go the app. Seems shortsighted and dangerous, when you consider how much of this country does not have cell reception.
