I've been working away at moving away from big tech towards open source/small tech/non-US products and I've broadly found things to be in three camps:
I'm making a few moves to get away from big tech:
- migrated to Protonmail from the big G
- migrated to Firefox from the same big G
- switched to Linux on an old laptop
I still need to install Linux on my main machine.

I think after worlds I'm taking away that the real villain is UAE.
Pogačar is clearly the greatest cyclist in decades but his teams used to be sort of mediocre. Like imagine if he had the support of Bahrain or AlUla instead. Totally different narrative.

It's really a shame the US is a deeply evil place with next to nothing to be proud of because I would have so many jokes about how Europe needed to invent their own championships without the mighty US team
