I like the music of both Jack White and Charley Crockett but it is very fair to say they both look like human versions of American musicians in an anime

My crankiest old man take is that referring to all art/entertainment/journalism/criticism/comedy/advertising as “content” helped pave the way for broad-ish acceptance of AI slop.

@slangsonsports.bsky.social as the one in charge of the stats, do you know if/when the last time three home teams in a city/metro won on the same day?
Yesterday the Twins, Wild, and Wolves all won home games. Has that happened before??

Amazing that anyone’s brain is infantile enough to believe that tech overlords who would burn the world down before they would pay taxes and who don’t even want you to have healthcare or mail delivery really want to see you get a big check every month for nothing.
It’s all well and good for tech leaders to endorse UBI. But it feels convenient to only focus on a distant political prospect. The GOP, right now, is doing reverse-UBI (work requirements on SNAP). It’d be nice to hear more objections to that.

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but today is one of the greatest moments in baseball history history. It’s the 19th anniversary of the Fenway Pizza Throw featuring Don Orsillo and the late Jerry Remy with a guy who wasted a piece of cheese pizza.

Now that all those innocent people have died tragically I do think that this is worse than lesbians being in a Cheerios commercial, but you couldn’t have expected me to know that prior to the election

I figure only @nehoc.bsky.social will appreciate my baseball card Sunday adventure yesterday. But I gotta celebrate it somewhere other than Reddit.

I *really* don't want to be a downer but to me the precursor to Doing is Saying, and not nearly enough of this Party is saying what needs to be said. About punishing the villains, about abolishing billionaires, about ending elite impunity. Too many want to leave the rot but change the branding
